The Lead Safe Omaha Coalition offers classes on safely removing lead-based paints and lead-contaminated soils. Completing the course and passing the test ensures the student that he will recieve a lead safety training certificate which he can use when applying for employment anywhere in the country. Within the next few years, the federal government will require that everyone who works in home remodeling and repair have a certification in lead safety.
