The Department of Labor agreed at 8:30 am this morning (10/19/05) that the employees should be paid the higher wages. It will be retroactive. (For further information see the Articles Section.)
Labor from $15.00 to $21.00 Aprrox. 30% increase
Truck Driver $18.00 to $21.00 Approx. 14% increase

Brenda Council, the facilitator of the Community Advisory Group (CAG) requests, a special CAG meeting to be held, Wednesday, September 28th at 9:30 a.m. at the North Omaha Boys and Girls Club, located at 2610 Hamilton Street. Brenda apologizes for the short notice, but felt it would be worthwhile to meet to discuss the recent development of a 510(c)(3) organization. Representatives from the Mayor's office and Union Pacific will attend to answer questions regarding the recently announced Omaha's Healthy Kids Alliance.
